Youngstown PR Consultant Addresses BNI Chapter
February 24, 2011
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Dan Pecchia, president of Pecchia Communications, spoke today to the Mahoning Valley Chapter of Business Networking International.
His presentation to the group of 20 local business professionals focused on the situations that most often lead companies to hire public relations and marketing counsel.
“Organizations tend to seek us out when change is in the works,” Pecchia said.
“Major changes – like mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, new technology, new management – often create at least temporary needs for additional PR or marketing resources and we often fill those needs.”
The other major driver of new business, he said, is management unhappiness about current marketing and PR activities or the lack thereof.
“We enjoy connecting with business owners and managers who don’t like what they have,” Pecchia said. “We can usually identify areas where we can add value without a lot of cost or risk.”
Pecchia is a former president of BNI’s Mahoning Valley chapter, which was established in 2003. BNI is the largest business networking organization in the world, with more than 5,200 chapters in 40 countries.
